Canada To Replace America

WBEZ announced two new additions to its Saturday afternoon line-up. Definitely Not The Opera and Ideas will run from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and replace the canceled Weekend America.

What do we find funny about this? Well, Definitely Not The Opera is described as "a fast-paced trip through the cultural landscape of Canada and the world." Hey, you know what Chicago is really hungry for? News about Canada!

O.K., O.K., it might be good, but we're not counting on it ... we're betting they got it pretty cheap since Chicago Public Radio is feeling the financial pinch along with the rest of us.
