Paced by rookie Derrick Rose's team-high 21 points, the Bulls had no problem beating the Chris Paul-less New Orleans Hornets, 107-93. Six players scored in double-figures for the Bulls, who took a comfy 62-44 lead to halftime. It was the Bulls' fourth win in five games but even with the win, the Bulls are still at six games under .500 and a game back of the last playoff spot. Said Rose, "We were just running, playing an up-tempo type game, pushing it, playing defense. We need to do that more often.'' The Bulls are 4-2 on their current road trip and end it with a game in Dallas Saturday night.

Despite 29 points from John Cantrell, Chicago State couldn't overcome Northwestern, who got double-digit scoring efforts from three players in a 75-63 win. Meanwhile, all of Chicago State's scoring came from three players: Cantrell, David Holston, and Carl Montgomery.

Notre Dame lost its sixth straight game last night, falling to the Cincinnati Bearcats 93-83. It's the Fighting Irish's worst losing streak in 15 years. Luke Harangody scored 28 in a losing effort.
