Stephanie Izard Update: Podcaster, Nose-to-Tail Enthusiast, and Illegal Cheese Caves

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Feb 9, 2009 9:25PM

2008_06_Izard.jpgLooks like we aren't the only ones diving into podcasting. Our pals at Serious Eats have an interview with Stephanie Izard posted where she offers more details on the Drunken Goat (she wants to offer tripe and lots of charcuterie), breaks bad on facebook ("543 friend requests?"), and talks about her recent trip to Madrid.

The biggest news Izard reveals in the interview are next week's launch of her own podcast on her website, her own brand of wine from Saviah Cellars in Washington — we hope she's got Saviah's "The Jack" on the list when the Drunken Goat opens, and her biggest wish for the new restaurant:

"I really want a cheese cave downstairs that the health department doesn't know about."

As one who's had a brick of parmesan sitting in open air for two weeks for aging, we'd be the first in line for that. Izard is also twittering, for you cool kids.
