- President Obama will apparently never have a Commerce Secretary: Republican Sen. Judd Gregg (NH) has withdrawn his name because of a difference of opinion over the stimulus package.

- The Chicago Yachting Association has asked its members to stay quiet on any criticism they have of Chicago 2016's plans to use Monroe Harbor as a venue. The reason? Fear of some sort of retaliation from the city.
