In case you missed his eyebrow-raising and rather performance at Lollapalooza last summer, Saul Williams will play Chicago again tomorrow night at Columbia College as part of their African Heritage Month program. This feather-sporting spoken word and music artist can sometimes grate at the eardrums, but if nothing else, he'll put on a show with a ferocity like you've never seen.
Columbia College Chicago's Hokin Gallery and Annex Neighborhood, 623 S. Wabash, Thursday, Feb. 19, 6 p.m., $3 suggested donation. [Ed. note: THREE BUCKS! That is a steal! Go go go go!]

Sports
This we gotta see. Tomorrow night the Sideshow Theatre Co. will host the kickoff event for the newly-formed CLLAW - the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers. While eight gals duke it out tournament style in a white-knuckle fight to the finish, spectators can knock back drinks while cheering on their favorite strong arm. It's $5 just to get in, or $20 to buy the open bar package. They say this money will go to "charity," although the beneficiary is not named. We don't care. Watching this madness go down will be reward enough.
The Spot, 4437 W Broadway Ave, Doors open at 7 p.m.

Theater
On Saturday the Free Street Theater will explore how the mortgage crisis has affected young people in immigrant communities in a play titled Sub-Prime Youth. The performance piece, created by teens as a reaction to economic strife, follows the story of a first-generation Mexican-American family as they mask the devastation of losing their house in a cynical surrealism. A panel discussion will follow the play. For more information and to make reservations, visit the event's website.
Free Street Theater at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, 1419 W Blackhawk Ave, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2 - 4 p.m., Free.
