Wing Fest Turns Ten

2009_02_wingfest.jpg As of yesterday there were still tickets available for Wing Fest, starting at 1 p.m. at the Plumbers Union Hall's Bailey Auditorium (1340 W. Washington Blvd.).

It's hard to believe that what started out at the not-at-all-sad-it's-gone Slow Down! Life's Too Short on Elston in 2000 has, in ten years, turned into a major event bringing out some of the city's best purveyors of all things chicken wing while raising nearly $100,000 for various local charities. But it's become one festival we can't miss.
