Replacing Rahm: Once More, With Feeling
By Marcus Gilmer in News on Mar 2, 2009 9:20PM
It's the Final Countdown. Sort of. By the time the dust settles tomorrow night, we should be down to three candidates in the race to replace Rahm Emanuel in the Fifth U.S. Congressional District. Need some last second cramming before tomorrow's primary?
- No one got a key Ward Committeemen endorsement.
- We covered as many as the candidates as we could and still weren't able to hit all of them. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4.
- The Cook County Board of Elections has you covered with a full list of candidates while the Chicago Board of Elections has even more info, including how to find your polling place, a few maps [PDF] of the Fifth CD, and sample ballots.
- Karl and Kevin talked about the whole mess in this week's podcast.
- WBEZ gave each candidate 30 seconds to give their pitch for your vote. [via the WBEZ blog]
- We marveled at the Windy Citizen's excellent Twitter Tracker for the Fifth CD candidates.
- We're not even sure there will be any voters turning out to cast their ballots. [Full Disclosure: I'm a resident of the Fifth U.S. CD and I'll be casting my ballot tomorrow morning.]
