Morning Box Score: Heat Nip Bulls

By Matt Motyka in News on Mar 10, 2009 3:00PM

The Chicago Bulls lost to the Miami Heat in dramatic fashion Monday night, 130-127 in 2OT. The lead role in this epic production was played by none other than El Heat's area native super star Dwyane Wade, who drained a three-pointer to force the first overtime and then missed a reverse layup to require a second. With the score tied at 127, the Bulls were playing for the final possession when Wade stripped the ball from John Salmons and hit a running, three-point buzzer-beater to lift Miami to victory. Wade finished with 48 points and 12 assists, upstaging Ben Gordon's 43-point performance. Chicago wore their eighth spot well, but must surrender it to the Milwaukee Bucks for the time being. The Bulls next see action on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic.
