This in-between-seasons non-winter and non-spring bullshit tends to get us down, and we tend to treat our self-diagnosed Seasonal Affective Disorder with liberal quantities of intoxicants. So we figured it'd make sense for us to talk about liquor this week.

We've been curious about North Shore Distillery, as we'd be curious about anyone with the wherewithall to produce Absinthe (in addition to their vodkas, gins and aquavits). We spoke with Sonja Kassebaum from Northshore to discuss everything from local firecodes to how many arms it takes to wrap around their still, and much more booze-related conversation.

We also checked in with Rachel Driver with Lush Wine and Spirits to find out a little more about the upcoming Whiskyfest as well as the plans they're putting together at Lush. Here's a hint - they're giving away liquor. Who wouldn't be interested in that?
