Bulls Edge Wizards
The Chicago Bulls defeated the Washington Wizards 101-99 on the road Monday night, putting them a game and a half ahead of ninth-place Charlotte in the East. The Bulls, who trailed by as many as 10 points early in the second half, used an 18-2, third-quarter run to take the lead. That lead stood at nine with just over two minutes to play, but the Wizards mounted a late charge and found themselves within shooting distance at 98-96. A layup by Kirk Hinrich with eight seconds left was enough to put the game out of reach, as time expired on the Wizards. The Bulls—who are just 12-26 away this season—will play eight of their final 11 regular season games at the United Center.

College Basketball
Bradley needed a last-second shot from the three-point line—the opponents’ three-point line—to earn a miraculous 76-75 victory over the Oakland Golden Grizzlies and advance to the semifinals of the CollegeInsider.com tournament. That’s right, down two with only one second on the clock, Bradley’s Chris Roberts received the in-bound pass and sent up a prayer from the opposite end of the court. That prayer was answered as the ball swished through the net, earning the Braves a win for the ages. Bradley will next face the Pacific Tigers on Wednesday night.
