We were at Cardinal Wine & Spirits last night in advance of a BYOBfest at hidden gem Pizza Art Cafe on Rockwell, when we found what has to be the best deal, penny-per-ounce, of alcohol we've ever seen.
That's right - it's a full 1.75 liters of peppermint schnapps, for the low, low price of $1. And they say the dollar can't buy you anything any more. If you spot a number of stumbling drunks around Lincoln Square that stink of minty freshness, you can probably blame these bottles. Who needs malt liquor when you've got syrup-consistency goo for just pocket change?
