One Love/ Slut it Up

Tonight is chock-a-block with readings from some serious literary ladies.
Start at the Harold Washington Library to hear Sandra Ciserno read “One Book, One Chicago’s”, The House on Mango Street. Ciserno celebrates the 25th anniversary of her coming of age tale of a Mexican-American girl in Chicago.
Push aside that old lady in front of you in the line for autographs, so you can catch the end of Bookslut.com’s hosted reading in celebration of National Poetry Month. Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz (Oh, Terrible Youth), Kristy Bowen (In the Bird Museum), and Kristy Odelius (Strange Traders) wax poetic at the Hopleaf Bar.
Finish off the evening by staring slack jawed at a “Rock of Love” re-run--you earned it.
