Theatre Nerd Alert: Broadway in Chicago Launches iPhone App

Broadway in Chicago (BIC), the production group responsible for bringing national tours ‘round our way, has launched an iPhone application.

Although the writers on our theatre beat don’t have the cash aren’t hip (do people still say “hip”?) enough to own iPhones, after watching the video demonstration, we give it a rating of “eh.” Mimicking the BIC website, this app allows you to search productions now playing/coming soon, find nearby restaurants, see discounts, etc.

The feature we like best is a quick link to the BIC blog, podcasts and video clips. If any of you install this on your fancy communicatastic interwebian device, we’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
