Spring has FINALLY arrived in the form of summer-like weather, but we're not complaining. Still, it got us talking around the Chicagoist office about a few of our favorite things about Spring in our fair city. Feel free to share yours in the comments.

  • Skirts that end above the knees
  • Riding my bike in a skirt or dress and some heel... long, slow coast rides. and then there's the 10,000 bike dudes everywhere
  • Regaining the ability to take long walks. Specifically, walking home from work
  • Grilling.
  • Long lines of bicyclists heading to work
  • Farmers markets
  • Patio seating
  • Baseball!
  • Having hours of daylight after getting off work
  • Weekend afternoons at the packed dog park
  • A long wait on an 'L' platform is actually enjoyable
  • Sweating... that's not caused by eating too much food
  • Outdoor performances, concerts and festivals
  • Opening the windows in my apartment
  • Watching girls in too-short skirts trying to figure out how to sit down at Wrigley
  • Only needing one article of clothing to get dressed
  • No coats!
  • The appropriate season for frozen liquor
  • Scooter's Frozen Custard
  • Lower gas bills
