Blackhawks-Red Wings Drop the Puck

Good Lord it has been far too long since the Chicagoist office has been buzzing with this much excitement over the 'Hawks in mid-May. It all starts today at 2 p.m. as the Blackhawks and Red Wings finally start their tussle for a shot at the Stanley Cup. The Blackhawks have been off for much longer than the Wings so here's hoping they don't have to shake off rust because they won't have the time. The Red Wings won the season series 4-2, but the first two losses were shoot out losses and the Blackhawks finished out the season with back-to-back wins. It may not be much, but it may be enough to give the young 'Hawks some confidence.
