Abandoned Baby Found, Hospitalized

A newborn baby, with a piece of the umbilical cord still attached, was found in a yard in Wheaton this morning. The baby was taken to a hospital in critical condition but officials say the baby's condition is improving. The woman in whose yard the baby was found discovered the newborn early this morning when she heard her dog barking constantly. Police have also found a 24-year old woman they believe to be the mother and she's currently being treated at a hospital. [WBBM]
