Giant Obama Chillin' In Grant Park For The Weekend

“WTF is that?!” you ask? Well, it’s exactly what it looks like. A huge-ass Obama head separated from its huge-ass Obama bust. Seriously. The whole statue is 20 feet tall, weighs three and a half tons, and is taking up residence at Grant Park starting tonight.

Created by sculptor David Adickes, the statue is nearing the end of its 30-city US tour. GinormObama will reach his final destination, Presidents Park in Black Hills, South Dakota next week, where he will live amongst Adickes’ other 42 ridonkulously-sized presidential statues.

To celebrate Mega-Obama’s Chicago homecoming, the artist has also created a life-size bust (seems lame in comparison, right?), which will be auctioned off for charity on Sunday. Don’t reach for your checkbook though, as the auction is celebrity-only - bidders include Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce Knowles, Steve Harvey, and Vince Young. Besides, whoever wins will only enjoy a short victory, as the bust will then be gifted to First Lady Michelle Obama. Back to JumbObama. If you want to say hello and ask him to kiss your baby, your window is short. He is scheduled to arrive in Grant Park at 7 p.m. tonight, and leave at 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
