Lego Skyscrapers Tower At MSI

By Benjy Lipsman in Arts & Entertainment on Jul 1, 2009 3:20PM

We have an insatiable appetite for both miniature scale architecture and things built with Lego. So imagine how excited we are to see the ART + SCIENCE = ARCHITECTURE exhibit, opening at the Museum of Science and Industry today.

Visitors to the MSI will get to see more than 15 skyscrapers designed and built by certified LEGO professional Adam Reed Tucker. The designer for the Frank Lloyd Wright Lego kits we lusted after recently, his amazing creations on display at the museum soar as much as 10-feet high, depicting local landmarks like the Sears Tower, Marina City and Trump Tower as well as China's Jin Mao Tower, the St. Louis Gateway Arch, Seattle Space Needle, and the Burj Dubai Tower. And what might end up being the tallest version of the Chicago Spire that ever gets completed.

Included with general admission to the MSI, Tucker's creations will be on display until March 15, 2010.
