Given the strange weather we've had so far this year - strange even by our city's standards - it's somehow appropriate that we open July with the coolest weather of a particularly cool stretch. Cloudy skies stretch over the city and will keep temps down as highs will barely reach the mid 60s with a chance of showers throughout the day. According to Tom Skilling, not only was June the cloudiest in 40 years, but such a cool day would also be the coolest start for July in almost 80 years (the normal high at this time of year is 82) But for those of you worried about the holiday weekend? Fear not as while temps will still be a smidge below normal, it looks like sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s are on tap.
