Breeders Show Moved To Double Door

We've noticed there's been a bit of confusion over tonight's Breeder's show, and we figure the blame probably lays firmly on the post-Lolla music hangover that's settled over the city. So let us clear things up!

The Breeders show tonight, originally scheduled at Metro, has moved to Double Door. Original tickets will still be honored, but the show is now 21+.

While we're bummed anyone younger that bought tickets won't be able to attend now, we are extremely excited to see a band we've admired for years -- hell, we fell in love way back before "Cannonball" thrust them beyond cult status -- but never expected to see in so cozy a room. Granted, we've been cool about their most recent material, as Kim Deal has been surfing, shall we say, looser song structures, but we expect that the band will still kick it out live. (We're also pretty excited FOC's (Friends of Chicagoist) Farewell Captain are now opening the show!)

The Breeders play tonight, August 13, at Double Door, 1572 N Milwaukee, 9 p.m., $22, 21+
