- Today: This is the final day to get the all-new C-Wich, a crab cake sandwich, for $5 at C-House in the Affinia Hotel Chicago (166 E. Superior). Additionally, select sides, sweets and specials will also be offered for $5.
- Tonight: Celebrate Michael Jackson's birthday at Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club with a $19 menu special featuring blackened chicken with cheddar potatoes and roasted corn. A "Black and White" martini made with VOX vodka, dark chocolate liqueur, vanilla is also for sale for $5. Kit Kat's resident "diva," Traci Ross, will be performing as both Michael and Janet Jackson. - Sunday: Goose Island's going hog wild with a pig roast to benefit Slow Food Chicago. Clybourn brewpub chef John Manion, Blackbird's Mike Sheerin, Pat Sheerin of the Signature Room at the 95th, Jackie Shen of Red Light, the Bristol's Chris Pandel and Brian Millman of Uncommon Ground will each have a pig to roast at the brewery on Fulton. - Sunday: Purple asparagus's fifth annual "Corks & Crayons" benefit dinner takes place from 4-7 p.m. at Uncommon Ground Devon. All proceeds from this family style dinner will go to benefit Purple Asparagus's mission of bringing families back to the table by promoting and enjoying all the things associated with good eating. - Tuesday: Fulton's on the River hosts its final clam bake of the season. All you can eat clams and two Hoegaardens for just $22 (315 N. La Salle, 312-822-0100)
- Wednesday: Chef Cary Taylor of Chaise Lounge has a secret "VIP" off-menu dish consisting of Wagyu beef served with crushed purple fingerling potatoes, herb salsa verde, and Nichols Farm roma beans. There's two ways to get it for free: give your server the secret password, or order this dish: crispy head cheese medallions with Seedling Orchard peaches, shaved fennel and peach mustard. this will be the final day the offer is available.
