With a roster that needs to be trimmed down to its final 53 by Friday and fierce competition at certain positions, some players in Bears camp are making quite the extra effort to avoid getting cut... but by sending flowers? That's the tactic employed by wide receiver Devin Aromashodu [Ed's Note: Woo! War Eagle! - M.G.], who hoped the bouquets would help him remain a Bear.

"I sent flowers to all the coaches, to keep me in mind," said the wideout locked in a heated battle with Rashied Davis and Brandon Rideau for one or two final spots on the Bears receiving corp. With just one preseason game left to make an impression on the field, the third year player made sure to make an impression off it. While a nice touch, with it have any impact on who makes the team? Chicagoist has a feeling that Jay Cutler's lobbying for Aromashodu will factor into the decision more than any bouquet bribery, and we tend to think the Bears coaching staff might have preferred bottles of bourbon instead.
