Thursday Lunchtime Diversion: Muppets + Funk = Heaven

This is the most glorious video we've seen all week and it definitely puts us in the mood for the upcoming holiday weekend. It's also further evidence that Jim Henson was either even more of a genius than we ever thought or that he was totally tripping out of his mind during the 70s. Some of those Muppets are WEIRD, man.

Note: according to Chicagoista Lauri Apple - who found this gem - the band Escort, whose song is used in this video, is not a lost relic of the '70s but rather a currently active - and kickass - band based out of Brooklyn.
