  • Today is the final day of the annual Berghoff Oktoberfest in Federal Plaza. You've been warned.
  • Tomorrow: Drinks Over Dearborn is hosting a free bourbon tasting from noon-3 p.m. While you're there, buy some of what you've sampled ans SAVE D.O.D. Kyle McHugh stocks some amazing product. (650 N. Dearborn, 312-337-9463)
  • Tomorrow: Wicker Park Lutheran Church is hosting its fifth annual "World's Largest Potluck" from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to help restore the 103-year-old landmark. (2112 W. LeMoyne)
  • Sunday: Share Our Strength's Great American Dine Out begins, running through the 26th. An expansive list of participating restaurants can be found here.
  • Monday: ChicaGourmets and Piccolo Sogno's Tony Priolo team up for a dinner at 6 p.m. Cost is $87 for ChicaGourmets members, $97 all others, all inclusive. (464 N. Halsted)
  • Tuesday: The Chopping Block Lincoln Square (4747 N. Lincoln Ave.) is hosting a cooking class for kids on how to make grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato cheddar soup. 4 p.m., $25.
  • Wednesday: Green City Market wraps up its localvore challenge with a town hall meeting from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Neggy Notebaert Nature Museum. It's free but you'll need to RSVP here.(2430 N. Cannon Dr.)
  • Thursday: For you folks who grouse about how you have no money or time to cook your own meals, World Kitchen has set up a class calling you out on your BS. Irony alert: it costs $30. (Gallery 37 Center for the Arts, 66 E. Randolph Street, 6-8 p.m., RSVP to 312-742-8497.)
