A postal worker in Mount Sterling set off to find treasure allegedly buried in Springfield. According to WBBM:

Patty Henken of Mount Sterling launched the search recently when she was refinishing an antique chair and found a key in an envelope with a note promising $250 in U.S. gold coins buried in a chest in Springfield.

On the envelope were the typewritten words ``Finders Keepers.'' The typewritten note detailed a Springfield location where the gold coins were supposedly buried.

After tracking down the location in Springfield, Henken agreed to split any findings with the lot owner in exchange for permission to dig. The dig discovered nothing but Henken vows to keep searching, saying, "I'm not going to rest until I find out for sure." By this point, though, the cost of the dig has to be more expensive than $250, right?
