Well well, it seems we just settled in on our New Year's Eve show of choice. As an added bonus, it's also an opportunity for local bands to compete to win a set slot and kick off the evening.

Beck's Beer is presenting a New Year's Eve to remember at the sprawling and sophisticated River East Art Center. While our initial hopes that Mark Ronson would perform live didn't pan out, he will be in attendance, offering up a DJ set alongside live performances from The Virgins, The Drums, The Airborne Toxic Event and a local band that could be yours!

Local acts wishing to compete should head here to submit a photo, a track and an optional video. Site visitors will vote and narrow down the submissions to six finalists who will all participate in a tour in early December. The finalist with the most online votes will open the New Year's Eve party.

You can grab tickets to the event via The Airborne Toxic Event's website beginning tomorrow.
