The suspect, who was identified by police as Collymore, then ordered a bank employee to place all the money from the safe into his purse, police said. Next he allegedly ordered two other employees at gunpoint into a restroom where he restrained them with strips of plastic before fleeing. Police said about $107,000 was taken during the robbery.
Collymore was already in custody on a drug conviction when he was charged in connection with the robbery, Park Ridge Police said. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Collymore is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for manufacturing ecstasy and possession of marijuana. He has been in custody since June. [Chicago Sun-Times]
