Eat To The Beat, Baby

2009_11_eattothebeat.jpg Summer memories grow ever hazier and the lunchtime concert series at Pritzker seems like a distant dream, but just because the temperatures are dropping that doesn't mean the end of music in Millennium Park. The Harris Theater Eat to the Beat series has been giving patrons a low dough chance to enjoy some premium musical and dance offerings ever couple of weeks, and tomorrow's installment, Beat in the Box, features DanceWorks Chicago performing to music provided by human beatbox Yuri Lane.

We find the idea of contemporary choreography designed by Brian Enos over the mouthsounds of Chicagoan performer Lane and intriguing idea, especially against the backdrop of the usually austere Harris Theater. The venue's excellent sight-lines and pristine acoustics mean you'll be able to settle in just about anywhere within the theater with your lunch and not miss a, forgive us, beat. For a taste of what to expect, check out this video.

Eat to the Beat with DanceWorks Chicago featuring Yuri Lane is tomorrow, November 17, at Harris Theater, 205 E Randoplh Dr, 2009, 12 p.m. - 12:45 p.m., $5, all ages
