A pair of interesting football rumors making the rounds this afternoon. First, the Sun-Times is reporting that former Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis is interested in the offensive coordinator position with the Bears should Ron Turner not be retained after this season. Given the Bears' woes and what he did with Tom Brady and the Patriots, it certainly would be an upgrade. Meanwhile WBEZ pointed us to this tidbit at the National Football Post which says that Weis' old employers - Notre Dame - are interested in Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald.
