UIC Student Won't Be Deported. Yet.

Homeland Security has halted deportation proceedings for Rigoberto 'Rigo' Padilla, a junior at UIC and an undocumented resident who has lived in the United States since he was six years old. Padilla was facing deportation next week but his case has been deferred for a year. The charges were brought against him after his status was discovered following an arrest stemming from a misdemeanor driving violation. ABC 7 has additional details.
