Satisfy Your Late Night Hunger with Free Food from Rick Bayless

By Amy Perry in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 11, 2009 7:00PM

2009_12_canteen.jpg If you are out any night this weekend in the Gold Coast be on the lookout for the Ketel One Canteen for some free late night vittles and a ride home. The vodka brand food mobile is serving complimentary gourmet food from Top Chef Master Rick Bayless including pork tinga tacos, roast poblano and potato tacos, and black bean/chorizo tortas. It sounds like music to our bellies especially after a night of holiday drinking. To sweeten the deal even more, Ketel One will offer complimentary rides home on a first-come-first-served basis in high-end vehicles.

Ketel One is making the stop in between NYC and LA to promote responsible drinking; the NYC special menu was inspired by chef Michael Psilakis and "Top Chef" Season 2 winner Ilan Hall will create the menu for LA.

The canteen will be parked in Mariano Park (Rush Street and Bellevue Place) from midnight to 2 a.m. tonight and tomorrow but don’t expect to see Bayless passing out food. We missed the canteen last night after our reader meet up, but if you partook in the late-night Bayless feeding frenzy, share you experience with us below.
