  • Bistro 110 (110 E. Pearson, 312-266-3110) is getting Dickensian this month with a tasting menu and cocktail flight inspired by the work of Charles Dickens. They also have a cocktail flight that will be served up tabbleside. the Ghosts of Christmas past, Present and future are an eggnog and vodka mixture poured over Chartreuse, Grand Marnier and godiva dark chocolate liqueur, respectively.
  • The Bluebird (1749 N. Damen, 773-486-2473) has a casual winter beer tasting this evening from 7;30-9:30 p.m. the featured beer will be Two Brothers "Why Winter," a barleywine aged in oak for 18 months. Why Winter is bottled in 3 liter bottles and limited to a production run of 100. passed flatbread appetizers are included in the $30 cost. RSVp by calling the Bluebird of e-mailing them here.
  • Gemini Bistro (2075 N. Lincoln, 773-525-2522) rolls out its winter prix fixe menu tonight. You can choose one item from each of the course listings (menu is gemini_bistro.pdf ) for $31; wine pairings bring the cost to $49.
