Well, At Least We're Friendly

Across 2009 there have been a myriad of polls, surveys and reports ranking Chicago's standing against other U.S. cities. Examined individually we find ourselves sometimes nodding in agreement, but pairing our city's 2009 accolades together yields entertaining results.
Among our favorite honors bestowed this year, Men's Fitness ranked us the 13th Fattest City and The Economist added the title of Least Working Time Needed to Buy a Big Mac. Perhaps we're fat from all the stress eating. In 2009 we repeated our title as the Most Stressed City in the U.S.. Of course our stress levels could come from the Third Highest Caffeine Levels in the nation. It's not all bad news though, at least we're a jolly bunch of stressed out, overly caffeinated heavyweights. For our newest addition to the old resume, Travel + Leisure just listed Chicago as the 19th Friendliest City.
If we all act collectively towards some common New Year's Resolutions, 2010 could be our year to become a city of fit, zen, meanies...but then we'd be LA.
