A United Airlines plane flying out of O'Hare International Airport made an emergency landing in New Jersey this morning after its landing gear "failed to deploy," Chicago Breaking News reports. Passengers were evacuated and no one was injured.

According to The Star-Ledger, United Airlines Flight 634 left Chicago before 6 a.m. today with 53 people on board, 48 passengers and five crew members. The airplane's right main landing gear could not extend, although its nose and left main landing gear were still functional, the report said. Despite this failure, the plane made it safely to its final destination at Newark Liberty International Airport at 9:27 a.m. The emergency landing however "briefly shutdown the airport" and caused 45 minute delays for departing flights.

Officials have yet to explain what went wrong with the landing gear, the Star-Ledger reports.
