Bomb Threat On Plane Out Of Chicago Turns Up False

By Marcus Gilmer in News on Jan 15, 2010 4:40PM

A United Airlines flight out of Chicago is on the ground at Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, Michigan after a man claimed to have a bomb on board. The man had locked himself in the plane's bathroom, claiming he had a bomb. The suspect, from California, was arrested upon landing and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought on board to search the plane. Well, it seems the AP is saying there was no such threat. We're not sure how it happened but we'll keep an ear out. [via]
