Bulls Clip Wiz In Double-OT
The Bulls hit the road on a winning note after edging the Washington Wizards 121-119 in double overtime, their fourth-straight win. A tight game throughout, Washington led by as man as seven early in the fourth, but Chicago chipped away at the lead and a Derrick Rose jumper with less than 30 seconds left tied the game to force overtime. A John Salmons layup with 14 seconds left in overtime forced the second extra period where a late 5-1 run, capped by a Derrick Rose jumper with five seconds left, clinched the win for the Bulls. Rose had a monster game with 37 points, 9 rebounds, and six assists. Kirk Hinrich added 19, Joakim Noah had a 17-15, and Luol Deng added 17 points of his own. In spite of the struggles and the calls to fire Coach Vinny, the 18-20 Bulls would make the playoffs if the season ended today, sitting in eight place in the NBA's Eastern Conference and only a half-game back of seventh. The Bulls now begin their long Disney-on-Ice roadtrip, tipping off Monday at Golden State (3 p.m., WGN).

College Basketball
Loyola
held off a second-half rally by UIC to douse the Flames 55-50. UIC trailed by 8 at one point in the second half but managed to tie the game at 46-46. The Flames would only score 4 more points over the final eight-plus minutes, though, aiding Loyola in their victory. Loyola's Geoff McCammon led all scorers with 26 points while Robo Kreps led UIC with 20.
