'Hawks Clip Columbus
It was a wild game in Columbus yesterday afternoon as the 'Hawks scored a trio of third period goals to clip Columbus 6-5. The 'Hawls got off to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Andrew Ladd and Troy Brouwer. Columbus got on the board, followed by Marian Hossa scoring and another Blue Jackets goal to end a wild first period with the 'Hawks up 3-2. Columbus took the lead in the second with a pair of goals. But then the 'Hawks got that trio of goals in the third: a pair of Jonathan Toews power-play goals with a Ben Eager goal between. Up 6-4, the 'Hawks let Columbus slip in one more late goal but held on for the victory. The 'Hawks outshot Columbus 31-26; Huet had 21 saves in net for the 'Hawks. There's no rest for the 'Hawks, though, as they take to the ice early today against the rival Red Wings (11:30 a.m., NBC).
