Clippers, Well, Clip Bulls
The road woes continued for the Bulls in L.A. last night as the L.A. Clippers got the better of them by a 104-97 final. Once again, poor shooting from the floor - 43 percent - hurt the Bulls chances of keeping up with a team they could have beaten. Derrick Rose had a 23-8-7 to lead the team while Luol Deng scored 19 and pulled down 10 rebounds. Joakim Noah also had a double-double with a 14-15. Next up for Chicago is a trip to the desert to face the Phoenx Suns on Friday (9:30 p.m., CSN, ESPN)
College Basketball
- The streak is over! After nearly two years and 24-straight regular season conference losses, the DePaul Blue Demons once again toppled a Big East opponent, edging Marquette 51-50 thanks to the heroics of Mike Stovall, who hit the last two shots of the game, including the literally last second shot that put DePaul on top. Will Walker led DePaul with 17 points.
- NIU held off a late run by Toledo to beat the Rockets 58-54. NIU's Xavier Silas had 19 points to lead all scorers.
