Four men ranging in age from their early 20s to 30s died this morning when their car crashed and flipped over in Crest Hill, officials said. The names of the four men have not been released, but a family member of one of the deceased informed officials that they were all friends who had grown up together in Romeoville.

Paramedics and police were called to the scene of the crash at about 1:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of Weber Road, said Crest Hill Police Sgt. Anthony Rossetti to the Chicago Tribune. Police found a black 2005 Lexus ES330 flipped over and the four men in the car appeared dead, said Rossetti. Paramedics who arrived on the scene a few minutes later confirmed that all four had died. The cause of the accident is under investigation with the Illinois State Police, but early reports show that the vehicle may have slammed into a nearby tree, Rossetti said.
