GaGa, Green Day And Grunge Rumored To Headline Lolla [UPDATED]

2010_02_old_lolla_logo.jpg The Daily Swarm is claiming they've gotten the inside skinny from "multiple industry sources" that three of the Lollapalooza headliners will be Lady GaGa, Green Day, and Soundgarden. We admit that these names make sense, and we have been all but certain Soundgarden would be amongst the headliners since they announced their reunion earlier this year. For Lady GaGa it would be a victory lap of sorts, since she made her Lollaploooza debut on a tiny side-stage in 2007. And Green Day is one of the last remaining arena rock acts that haven't played the festival yet.

Again though, none of this is verified yet, so until we get word confirming these acts from fest organizers we wouldn't start breaking out the Ziggy Stardust make-up, booty shorts, flannel and guyliner just yet. What this news does do is get us excited for summer festival season all over again...

Lollapalooza will take place this year from August 6 through 8 in Grant Park.

UPDATE: Greg Kot adds to the rumored line-up claiming his sources have also named Arcade Fire, the Strokes, Yeasayer, the xx, Dirty Projectors, Cut Copy and Hot Chip as additional Lollapalooza 2010 acts.
