No matter how long and hard we stare at the calendar, time just won't move any faster and Winter's cold, firm grip on the area continues. Lake effect snow is the big story today which will bring up to a foot of snow to places in Northwest Indiana and even 2 to 5 inches of snow to locations in Northeast Illinois, Chicago included. Highs will only get into the upper 20s and the flakes pile up and we could see pretty gusty winds at time, near 30 mph, which will keep wind chills down. Lows tonight fall into the teens, assuring we'll stay inside, staring at pictures of Ozzie and Lou and telling ourselves, "Spring's almost here, Spring's almost here, Spring's almost here..."
