We've gotten our collective undies in a bunch about Oberon before, and truth be told we were ready to be over the springtime rush to the Bells taps for the yearly release of the sweet wheaty ale. That was before we found out that Binny's was going to be hosting Larry Bell for a brewer's tasting on April 1st.

Starting at 6pm that evening, Superbrewer Bell will be on hand at the South Loop Binnys to herald the beginning of Craft Beer Month and pour the first years' drafts of Oberon. If that weren't enough, special taps of Hopslam and Batch 9000 will be cracked as well to make sure that everyone can have a shot at getting good and stinking faded.

April 1st is going to be a hell of a good day for beer geeks in Chicago - in case you missed it, Stone Brewing will begin its local distribution on April Fools Day as well.
