It's a new month but it looks a like the last one. But at least it's quiet. Scattered flurries greet us on this first day of the new work week and new month, as will below-normal temps: highs will only reach the low-to-mid 30's. With the chance of more scattered flurries, lows overnight will be in the mid-20s. But Skilling says we could see the first 50 degree temperature reading in three months by this weekend. Don't toy with our emotions. It's also Casmir Pulaski Day and the Tribune has a handy list of what's open and what's not.
