Reserve your spot now for the Fifth Annual Family Dinner by Purple Asparagus being held on Saturday, March 20th at Dawali Mediterranean Kitchen, from 2:30-5:00 PM. The dinner will some of feature Chef Amer's favorite home-style dishes including: Fasoulia- green bean and lamb stew, hummus, falafel, and grilled kababs.

In addition to enjoying the fine food, guests will learn about the historical background of the dishes while listening to traditional Middle Eastern music (live!).

Here's why you should go: Dawali's food is really well liked and it's a great chance to try some Middle Eastern food if you are not familiar with it (bring the kids to expose their palates to new things, too) and Purple Asparagus is a great non-profit organization that is working to bring families back to the table together for good food.

Tickets for Adults and Teens are $25.00 ($27 non-members); Big Kids (5-12), $10.00 ($12 non-members); and Little Kids (4 and under), free. Purchase tickets online here or by a check payable to Purple Asparagus, 1824 W. Newport Ave., Chicago, IL 60657.

Dawali's is located at 4911 N. Kedzie Avenue.
