- A small plane was able to make a safe emergency landing in Wheeling last night after it sustained damage from striking a deer on take-off.
- James Warren is already jumping ship from The Reader to the Chicago News Cooperative.
- Congrats to Mauro Fiore who won an Oscar for his cinematography work in Avatar last night; Fiore is a graduate of Columbia College.
