Blackhawks Announce Time-Table For Campbell's Return

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today defenseman Brain Campbell will likely avoid surgery for a broken clavicle and broken ribs, make a full-recovery, and could be back to playing for the team in seven-to-eight weeks. Of course, there are only four weeks left in the regular season, so the seven-to-eight week return would put Campbell back on the ice no sooner than sometime during the second round of the playoffs. Campbell sustained the injuries Sunday when Washington Caps star Alex Ovechkin checked Campbell from behind and into the boards. Ovechkin was suspended for two games by the NHL yesterday and issued an apology.
