The Morning After: Bulls Snap Skid

Bulls Pummel Philly
Rejoice, Bulls fans. Not only did both Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah return to action last night, but the Bulls also managed to snap their 10-game losing streak, beating up on the Philadelphia 76ers 98-84. The Bulls took the lead just over 3 minutes into the game and never trailed after that on their way to their first victory since February 26. Rose started and led the team with 23 points while Noah saw limited time off the bench for seven points and four rebounds. The Bulls will see if they can start a new winning streak tomorrow night when they host Houston (7 p.m., WCIU).

Blackhawks Felled By Coyotes
Despite having a two-goal lead twice, the 'Hawks couldn't hold off Phoenix and ended a rough, three-game West Coast road trip with a 5-4 shootout loss. Troy Brouwer put Chicago on top 1-0 in the first and a Patrick Kane power-play goal gave them a 2-0 lead. But Phoenix would counter with a goal in the second and another to start the third to tie the game at 2-2. The Blackhawks, however, would answer with two goals of their own - one from Andrew Ladd and one from Patrick Sharp - to put them up 4-2. But, once more, the Coyotes would come back, beating 'Hawks goalie Antti Niemi for two more goals to tie the game at 4-4. After a scoreless overtime, Phoenix's Radim Vrbata scored the lone shootout goal to give the Coyotes the win. And yet the 'Hawks are atop the Western Conference, just one point ahead of San Jose with 11 games remaining. Next up will be a rematch against Phoenix at the United Center on Tuesday night (7:30 p.m., CSN).

Spring Training
The Cubs split a pair of games, falling to the A's 7-4 but downing the Royals 4-0. The Sox were upended by San Diego 4-1.
