Rafter's Animal Feelings is a soul album geared for the suavely sauntering indie rock set. It's the kind of disc Vampire Weekend and their brethren would craft if they could just get past the artifice and embrace the rhythms they appropriate. The euphoric tunes are built on minimalist beds that splash twinkling guitars, tinkling xylophones, and punchy horns throughout.

The lurching Afro-Cuban beats of "Paper" are a particular delight. It's expletive laden chorus will have you singing along in seconds so you may want to be careful about firing it up at the office. Aw hell, who cares? If it makes you feel good, do it. It's a good example of the vibe band leader Rafter Roberts carries throughout, creating an album that's often sultry, occasionally silly and totally fun.

Check out "Paper" and the remix of another great track "Beauty, Beauty" below. We think it'll help clear the clouds from around you on this dreary day.
