DOWNLOAD AND SEE: The Assembly

The Assembly have long been friends to Chicagoist -- remember them killing it at one of our CTRL-ALT-ROCK shows? -- so we were happy to hear they're back in the lab creating music for their next album. Singer Dave Suh tells us he's been influenced by '80s post punk and goth lately, so the music has taken on a slightly darker tone than previous output.
They've shared one of the demos from the current sessions with us and while it's familiar to anyone whose seen their recent sets it's still nice to have a copy to carry around with us. And now you can take it home too! Snag the demo for "Without You" below and give it a few spins before heading over to Lincoln Hall tonight to see the band in action.
