Even with Ted Lilly expected to make an early return, Randy Wells solidified his spot in the Cubs' rotation with another great performance in the Cub's (15-9) 8-1 win over the Reds. Meanwhile, the White Sox (8-15) lit up the Angels early only to give up the game in the later innings en route to a 7-7 tie.
